During a recent visit to Club de Mar Mallorca, we had the opportunity to see MY Venus, one of the most distinctive superyachts ever built. Flying Cayman Islands flag, the 78-metre yacht was delivered by the prestigious Dutch shipyard Feadship in 2012 and designed by Philippe Starck, whose minimalist approach resulted in an iconic combination of aluminium, glass and clean architectural lines.
Although delivered in 2012, Venus continues to be regarded as one of the most recognisable yachts in the global superyacht fleet, reflecting the innovation, craftsmanship and design excellence that defines the builder shipyard.
As most of you know, the yacht was originally commissioned by Steve Jobs, who was closely involved in her design but, sadly, never had the opportunity to sail on board, Venus is owned by his widow Laurene Powell Jobs.
